Welcome to our online store! The Bella Cottage and its associates provide their services to you subject to the following conditions. If you visit or shop within this website, you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully.

CANCELLATION & RETURN POLICY

At The Bella Cottage, we stand behind the quality of our products and will make things right if you are not satisfied with your purchase. We believe that we can work together with our customers to make every purchase a positive experience.

If you wish to cancel your order, please notify us within 24 hours of placing it. If more than 24 hours have passed, then our return policies below apply.

Return Policy

ALL furniture, lighting, personalized or custom items, fabric and sale items are not returnable.

Eligible Items For Return

We gladly accept any eligible returns or exchanges within 15 days of purchase. Items must be returned unused and in the original packaging. Please call for approval on a return, without it we cannot accept the package. Returns are subject to shipping and restocking fees. Eligible items for returns include:

  • Beatriz Ball: Eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 10 days of receipt. There will be a 15% restocking fee for any returns.
  • Bella Cottage Brands: Bella Cottage branded items including appliques, Bella Pets, and Create It Yourself are eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 15 days of receipt. Return shipping charges will apply, even for free shipping items.
  • Caro Home: Eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 30 days of receipt. There will be a 10% restocking fee for any returns. Return and original shipping charges will apply.
  • Kaleen Rugs: Eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 30 days of receipt. There will be a 15% restocking fee for any returns.
  • Lili Alessanda: Eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition and packaging, within 14 days of receipt. Returned items will be charged a 20% restocking fee. The refund you receive will be for the item price minus the standard shipping cost.
  • Momeni Rugs: Eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 30 days of receipt. There will be a 20% restocking fee for any returns. For FREE SHIPPING items the refund you receive will be for the item price minus the standard shipping cost.

SHIPPING

Due to size and/or product restrictions, we cannot process orders outside of the 48 contiguous states ( Hawaii and Alaska) and with international shipping addresses directly from our website. However, you can still purchase items from The Bella Cottage if you have a freight forwarder that you work with. For international orders over $500, simply contact us for an international quote request and we will try our best to see if we can find a safe method of shipping for you. Make sure to include a list of items you would are interested in purchasing.

SHIPPING: Large Items & Furniture

We ship to both residential and business, but residential deliveries, especially to remote locations, or the cost of Ferry’s may result in additional charges.

Shipping charges are for threshold delivery. Inside delivery is available upon request and will incur additional fees please let us know if you would like to upgrade. We want you to be confident and happy with your purchase!

If you miss your scheduled delivery, an additional delivery fee of $75 will be charged.

DAMAGES & CLAIMS FOR LARGE ITEM ORDERS: Furniture, Custom Orders & One-of-A-Kinds

Please do not arrange for the item/items to be delivered when no one is home to receive them.

When you receive your package if packaged item is dented, opened, punctured, or looks as if damages may have occurred during transit, please examine in the presence of the driver.

All damages must be noted on freight bill at the time of delivery and taken up with the carrier immediately. DO NOT SIGN bill until items have been inspected!

Notate any visibly damaged cartons, or shortages directly on the bill of landing and keep all packing materials.

After item has been accepted by customer, we no longer able to assist you in the replacement of damaged goods or reimbursement if the above procedure is not followed.

Our furniture, One-of-a-kind and vintage pieces are inspected prior to shipping and is accepted by the carrier in good condition.

If your piece incurs damages during transit, the freight company reserves the right to have the piece repaired and brought back to the manufacturer's standards at their expense. They do this by sending the piece to a furniture medic or back to the manufacturer for a repair/rebuild. If the freight carrier determines the piece cannot be repaired, you have the right to be reimbursed for your purchase or have another piece sent at no additional charge and shipped out to you as soon as possible.

If for any reason your custom order does not arrive according to your specifications, please contact us immediately.

DAMAGES & CLAIMS FOR SMALLER ITEMS & PACKAGES

  • Damages sustained in transit are the sole responsibility of the freight carrier.
  • If packaged item is dented, opened, punctured, or looks as if damages may have occurred during transit, please examine in the presence of the driver.
  • All damages must be noted and taken up with the carrier immediately.
  • Notate any visibly damaged and keep all packing materials.
  • A claim will have to be filed with the shipping company.
  • After item has been accepted by customer, we no longer assume responsibility for the item.

Measuring for Furniture

It is very important to measure correctly and carefully when ordering furniture from The Bella Cottage! The measurements are listed for our furniture items but please take into consideration the dimensions for doorways, entryways and spaces with banisters or corners. Take into account any obstructions that may hinder you from getting your furniture into place as this is not our responsibility.

Delivery Times

We make every effort to get our items to you on time. Items that we have in stock will ship out within 2 business days unless otherwise noted. However other items are shipped from our artists and may take 2-3 weeks for delivery if the item is custom & handmade. Please note that our shipping dates are estimated and cannot be guaranteed. Occasionally issues arise that are beyond our control which require longer production times. If this is the case, you will be notified promptly.

Backorders

Our team works hard to update our site often to reflect the most accurate stock and estimated shipping  timeframes. Due to COVID-19 and supply chain issues there may be additional delays out of our control. Changes to an estimated shipping time frame attributed to a delay in production may occur  and are subject to change. Our team will notify you of any changes to the item(s) in your order and ship  any available items. Furniture and artwork orders cannot be canceled due to a backorder. Once an order  is created, it is sent to the manufacturer. A cancellation cannot be processed once the manufacturer has  confirmed the order.
