The designs on the Incanto Baroque Four-Piece Place Setting pay homage to the architectural curves of 17th century Europe. The Place Setting includes a European dinner plate, salad plate, pasta bowl, and cereal bowl. DETAILS & CARE

Dishwasher Safe - We recommend using a non-fragrant/non-citrus, non-abrasive detergent on the air dry cycle (or econo heat when available). It is recommended to place the dishes so they avoid touching during the high pressure dishwashing and as such we recommend you do not overload the dishwasher. All dishes should be dried thoroughly before being stored.

 

Microwave Safe - The temperature of VIETRI pieces may vary after microwave use due to the handmade nature of quality, natural clays. Thus, as with all products used in a microwave, please use the following precautions:

 

  • Always use a pot holder or oven mitt when handling the product as item may get hot.
  • Do not permit children to handle any product that has been heated in a microwave.
  • Do not put any products into a microwave without food or liquid on or inside the piece.
  • Allow item to cool before taking it out of the microwave.

Oven Safe - VIETRI's casserole and baking dishes can be used in most conventional ovens and dishwashers. They are handcrafted of very dense clays and fired at high temperatures, making them heat resistant up to 400°F. Do not use casserole lids in the oven, unless otherwise noted. Hot casseroles and baking dishes should never be placed on cool, damp, or unprotected surfaces. VIETRI bakeware should never be taken directly from the refrigerator to the oven due to the extreme temperature change, nor should it be placed directly from oven to freezer. The handles of these pieces are decorative and should not be used for support. Please remove the bakeware from the oven by holding the body of the dish, supporting the base.

 

Freezer Safe - Item can withstand freezing temperatures, but please allow it to return to room temperature before putting it into the oven.

 

Terra Marrone - A dark brown/black clay that is among the strongest earthenware clays available. It has traditionally been used in Italy for making outdoor sculptures and wall art for churches.

 

Veneto is situated in the northeastern corner of Italy. Home to Venice, rivers, lagoons, mountains, hills, and plains, the area is diverse and robust in history. Its close proximity to other countries and cultures has made it a unique region in Italy, and its ceramic production is distinctive and irreplaceable.

 

 

Incanto, a beloved classic for over 10 years, is handcrafted of terra marrone clay and finished in a beautiful white glaze complemented by a subdued charcoal hue (due to the type of clay). Each piece is handpainted by maestro artisans allowing subtle brushstrokes to complete the design.

Incanto Stone, handcrafted by the same maestro artisans, is made of a highly durable stoneware making it chip resistant, and available in a crisp white as well as aqua finish.

Both collections are handcrafted in Veneto and dishwasher, microwave, freezer, and oven safe. Although both collections come in the same series of designs (Stripe, Baroque, Ruffle, Lace, Pleated), not all pieces are currently offered in both Incanto and Incanto Stone. The distinct difference between the two is the design aspect based on the clay type. One can either choose the bright white with subtle undertones of Incanto or the crisp white and aqua of Incanto Stone. It really is up to you!

Curious about your collection? Flip your piece over. If you see black clay, it is Incanto. If you see white clay, it is Incanto Stone.

 

Care Info:

Italian Stoneware - VIETRI uses stoneware clay that is indigenous to Italy. Stoneware clay is less porous and fired at higher temperatures to make it oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe, and highly resistant to chipping and breaking.
